Since June 2004, the ARE has also been involved in a European network of national agencies responsible for promoting local initiatives – the European Local Action 21 Roundtable – founded at the Fourth European Conference of Sustainable Cities and Towns in Aalborg (Aalborg+10). At this first meeting, it was evident that there was a diversity of approach to this issue among the various European countries present (35 pages).
